LAHORE:

In the midst of a national mood of celebration after Pakistan’s military success against India at the borders, the main leader of the PPP, Qamar Zaman Kaira, without appointing PTI, said it was time to close the political division. He advised Khan’s party to make the peace and asked the government to adopt a policy of forgiveness.

In the same press conference, the secretary general of PPP Central Punjab, Syed Hasan Murtaza, hitting the Punjab information minister, Bukhari Azma, to prove Nawaz Sharif with war planning, said that “at least one should be within some limits.” He said that repeated lies, if they are not publicly exposed, begin to sound like the truth.

Murtaza said that the true credit for making Pakistan’s defense invincible belongs to the leadership of the PPP. “If there is any part that had a role in strengthening Pakistan’s defense, from signing the MOU for JF-17 to the construction of heavy industries, from weapons to tanks, airplanes and missiles, it is the PPP,” he said.

He accredited both the deceased Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and the deceased Benazir Bhutto, claiming that Bhutto launched the Atomic program of Pakistan, a decision that finally cost him his life. “Anyone can fly a bomb and take the credit for it.”

Murtaza said that other parties could, at best, were simply attributed to the defense programs initiated by the PPP governments. “Others should try to present claims about their achievement by publishing photos,” he added. He also took a mockery in Rana Sanoullah for “falsely affirming that the war had ended on May 7”.

He said that if the prime minister claims the credit to demolish six planes, then he should also assume the responsibility of the seventh: the “Adiala plane”, which described as a creation of Modi of India and Netanyahu of Israel.

Previously, while commenting on the Indo-Pak conflict, Qamar Zaman Kaira, a member of the Central Executive Committee of PPP, said that despite the Jingoism of India, it would eventually have to reach the negotiating table.

He stressed that lasting peace in the region is not possible without solving the problem of Kashmir. “India should implement its promise of plebiscite to the nation and the leadership of Kashmira,” he said, adding that PPP wants the matter to be resolved through negotiations.

Going to the media at the residence of the general secretary general of PPP Central Punjab, Usman Malik, along with Syed Hasan Murtaza, Chaudhry Manzoor Ahmed and Chaudhry Aslam Gul, Kaira said the PPP joined a broken country.

He said: “Bhutto laid the foundations for a strong defense system and a heavy chemical complex. JF-17 Thunder is being built in this HMC. Bibi Shaheed brought Pakistan missile technology. Asif Zardari revived Pak-China’s friendship as president.”

He added that China now supports Pakistan both economic and defensive: “The work initiated by Bhutto Shaheed was completed by Asif Zardari, while Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, as Minister of Foreign Affairs, fought for the cause of Pakistan as his grandfather and his mother.”

The former Federal Minister declared that despite being a great victim of terrorism, “we want to cooperate to finish it.” He said: “This is not a war of credit. Bhutto had created a broken country and a defeated nation. Instead of erasing someone’s line, my own line should follow.”

Kaira emphasized that, to create a lasting sense of unity, “the political parties of the country, alluding to PTI, should make introspection and seek forgiveness, and the government and institutions should also adopt a policy of forgiveness.”
