ISLAMABAD:
The Balochistan government has collected Rs 2,500 crore from the mineral sector during the current financial year, despite the coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent lockdown imposed to curb the spread of the virus.
The government collected the huge amount from the mining sector and deposited it in the provincial treasury, a Balochistan government official said. Computerized scales have been installed in addition to increasing mining control posts in the province, he added.
