Google I/or starts next week to mark the beginning of a new era of Android (prepare for some important news of AI, XR and Android 16), but before that, we still have many technological news to cover of the last seven days.
Samsung launched an Ultra Delgado phone, DJI gave us a better drone in his class and the boombox returned. To catch up with all that and more, move down to see the seven largest technological stories of the week.
Once you are trapped, be sure to watch our selections for the seven new films and television programs to watch this weekend (May 16).
We touched the edge of the galaxy

Attend
After months of Teasers, we were finally practical with the Galaxy S25 Edge, and as our practical review calls it, the Samsung phone for people who love samsung
As Philip Berne wrote from the United States, “” The Galaxy S25 Edge is the solution to a very simple formula. Take a S25 Plus galaxy. Shave 1.5 mm from the thickness removing the zoom camera and reducing the battery. Add a 200 MP camera sensor. WILL IN TITANIUM. Voila.
Delgadeness and lightness are something you have to experience for yourself. The design has already won several of our writers and our social media editor, who believe that not only looks fantastic but feels great in your hand.
The Dji Mavic 4 Pro took flight
We have tried the last DJI Drone, and has certainly impressed with a fantastic performance, speed and power, which makes it the best Mavic drone to date.
That is why our DJI Mavic 4 Pro Review granted him 5 complete stars.
The camera can be tilted in almost any direction, which makes it super versatile, has a fantastic triple lens configuration, and the largest battery means that it can fly it for longer between charges, which means that it offers an incomparable degree of creative options for your next film.
It’s not just a great DRON DJI, it could simply be the best drone you can buy at this time.
Garmin presents a couple of new precursor watches
We expected that a new Garmin Forerunner would fall very soon, but Garmin has gone and surprised us with two new specialized watches. The Garmin Forerunner 570 and the Garmin Forerunner 970 offer some new tools, such as a speaker and a microphone (all the best to take quick calls in Wrist while exercising), a new nightly report and the brightest AMOLED screens of Garmin so far. The 970 includes additional characteristics such as a titanium bezel, some unique new metrics such as executing tolerance and an ECG function. If that is not enough, we also obtained a new heart rate monitor, HRM 600, which can work with 970 to generate those advanced operating metrics.
Everything is something striking and great appearance, but these devices are not cheap: 570 costs $ 549.99 / £ 459.99 / AU $ 999, while 970 registers at $ 749.99 / £ 629.99 / AU $ 1,399. We hope to prove, but our first instinct is that it would be a great impulse of performance for serious runners and owners of, for example, the much older Forerunner 945, however, those who have more recent Garmin watches will probably not be tempted to update.
The boombox has returned
Don’t call him return.
The new We are Rewind GB-001 is a full-faith cassette boombox with modern updates such as Bluetooth 5.4, a perfect 3,000 mAh battery for 10 hours of speaker playback and 104W of power, more than our classic Boumbox has had.
It seems that everything that could ask, frankly, perfectly combining the technology of 2020 and 1980 in a package that we are very excited to try when we can. We know that it will be launched to the very reasonable £ 379 / € 449 (around $ 505 / AU $ 781), but for now, there is no confirmed launch date.
The transmission had a great week
It has been another week occupied in the entertainment world. In fact, we have not only dealt with a new Superman trailer and the first official teaser for Marvel Ironheart television show, but also a large number of large ads in the commercial show based on ads this year.
And when we say big, we say it seriously. From the news that Max will be renamed HBO Max once again in mid -2025, and a large number of Netflix television programs renewals, there has been a lot to read during the past week.
However, huge that are revealed, we were more impressed by the Disney 2025 presentation. If you missed them, you can catch up with the seven largest ads of Disney+ and Hulu here. Believe us when we say you will also want to do it!
Google gave Android a change of image
Before Google I/O next week, Google housed the Android program, offering us an idea of the interface changes that come with Android 16.
We did not see any new device that runs the software (URGH!), But the new expressive guidelines of material 3 require extensive use of color, movement effects and a large number of visual signals that are felt as if they were pointing directly to young people aged 18-24, read: more unconditional iPhone fans.
In its official blog post, Google says: “It’s time to go beyond ‘clean’ and ‘boring’ designs to create interfaces that connect with people on an emotional level.”
We will have to see how this approach develops when Android 16 begins to be implemented at the end of this year.
Apple Carplay Ultra finally went to the road
Apple’s next generation carplay system would be supposed to land in 2024, but after extended software, it finally arrived, well, if it has a new SUV Aston Martin, at least.
Carplay Ultra is currently only available at the new Aston Martin DBX, but his debut has given us an idea of what comes to other cars (including those of Hyundai, Kia and more). And that is an elegant software experience and iPhone style that takes care of the information and complete entertainment system of your car.
As with iOS, you can adapt the color schemes and carplay wallpapers, but you can also adjust climate control, radio stations and seats with heating, all from the same place. It’s time, but I hope we don’t have to wait another year to get a broader release.
