The former NFL star Robert Griffin III reacted to the dispute between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese that took place during the game of Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky on Saturday afternoon.
The temperature exploded between Reese and Clark after the fever sniper committed a flagrant foul in the sky forward. It was one of the most important moments of Indiana’s 93-58 victory.

Griffin wrote on social networks that the incident showed him one thing.
“After seeing the flagrant fault of Caitlin Clark about Angel Reese and the consequences, there is no way that Angel Reese can continue the lie that he does not dislike Caitlin Clark,” Griffin wrote. “I know how hate looks. Angel Reese hates Caitlin Clark. Nor a bit of basketball rivalry. Hate.”
Clark and Reese have a great story, returning to the National Women’s Basketball Championship of the NCAA of 2023.
Both players minimized the incident.
Clark told ESPN Holly Rowe after the third quarter that there had been “nothing malicious” behind the fault.

Let’s not make it something other than, “Clark said after the game.” It was just a good play in basketball. I am not sure what the referee saw to update it, and that depends on his discretion. It is a foul to put them in the line of free throws. I have seen a lot of basketball in my life, that is exactly what it was. I wasn’t trying to do anything malicious. That is not the type of player I am. “
Reese said it was a “basketball play.”
The fever chief coach, Stephanie White, said she thought it was a “clear game in the ball” when Clark committed a foul to Reese. But the head of the Roy Gulbeyan crew said Clark had pushed Reese with his left hand.
“The lack of Clark fulfilled the criteria for Flagrant Fout 1, to finish, impact and follow the extension of the left hand on Reese’s back, which is not considered a legitimate basketball game and, therefore, is considered an unnecessary contact,” he told a pool reporter. “After the fault, there is a technical physical mockery in (Aliyah) Boston and a verbal technique in Reese, which compensated.”

Clark ended with his third triple-double triple, scoring 20 points, catching 10 rebounds and distributing 10 assists. Reese gathered another double double. She had 12 points and 17 rebounds.
