Islamabad:
The second ministerial meeting of the Dialogue Platform of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC-15) began in Tehran on Sunday, with a strong focus on the transforming role of artificial intelligence (AI) throughout the Islamic world.
The three -day meeting under the issue of ‘Innovation in Science and Technology through the use of AI: a strategy for excellence, a brilliant future for the Islamic world’ aims to promote regional cooperation through scientific diplomacy and dialogue.
The meeting will focus on advancing in science, technology and higher education and to provide the opportunity to address pressing problems in the technology sector, particularly those that affect education, economic growth and innovation.
In this sense, the senior officials met on Sunday for a preparatory session, co-presided by Professor Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary, General Coordinator of OIC-COMSTECH, and Professor Farhad Yazdandust, first vice minister of Sciences, Research and Technology of Iran and head of the International Scientific Cooperation Center.
