- The Ultra with Triple Lens Nubia Z70s presents a 35 mm main camera
- The Optional Z70 series retro kit effectively transforms the phone into a compact camera similar to Leica
- The kit has a grip, physical controls and lens filters
Chamber kits for smartphones are becoming one thing. They are designed to transform your phone into a compact device similar to a camera that is easier to use for photography: to see what I am talking about, see my ultra review of Xiaomi 15 in the long term, in which I wear the Xiaomi photography kit.
Now Nubia has created its own version of the concept, with its retro kit of the Z70 series. The kit is compatible with Ultra Ultra Ultra and Z70 phones of Nubia, and all the camera kits that I have seen for phones, I think it seems the part, even if it is charging the aesthetics Leica.
The new Ultra Z70s is already a retro smart phone (see below, without the kit), with a silver effect and a false leather finish, available in black or old classic brown. The retro kit carries things a bit.
I have not yet used the retro kit, but adding it should transform the phone management into something similar to some of the best compact cameras such as the rich GR III, with the appearance of a D-Lux 8.
Looking at the part
The Nubia Z70S Ultra presents a triple camera unit, with the main camera as a slightly more adjusted 35 mm lens of 35 mm, which is complemented with a 2x telephoto lens and an ultra wide optic macro.
The phone is fed by a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, has a large 6.85 -inch AMOLED screen and includes a strong 6,600 mAh battery. Those are solid specifications; But it is the appearance of the phone that distinguishes it.
As I mentioned, the Z70S Ultra version is already a retro -style phone, but by adding the optional retro kit you also get a compact camera control design.
There is the leather style case with grip that should even make the hand comfortable for photography, in addition to a tactile physical shutter that would expect to give a lovely answer to take photos (see below).
Next to the shutter button there is a control dial that seems to offer several manual controls at its disposal: the equivalent dial in the Xiaomi 15 photography kit can be used for manual exposure compensation.
Finally, it seems that the case accepts lens filters about the unity of the camera. It is not clear which filters will be available, but more creative control options may be possible depending on the filters you can buy.
The idea with these kits is that they can be added for the moments when you take many photos and videos, and then retire when you use the phone for other things.
The retro kit of the cloud series Z70 seems to be one of the best examples so far; I hope to have in my hands for an adequate test soon.
