Kurram Peace restored: 979 dismantled bunkers

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s Public Information and Public Relations Minister Muhammad Ali Saif, announced that peace has been successfully restored in the Kurram district through the diplomatic and determined efforts of Prime Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur.

According to SAIF, the region has been clear of bunkers and weapons, with a total of approximately 979 bunkers belonging to both destroyed parties.

In addition, 86 villages have been unarmed, and all confiscated weapons and ammunition have been put into custody of the Government.

He stressed that the main source of tension between the two sides was the presence of bunkers and weapons.

When heading to the conflict, the prime minister assigned his personal helicopter for humanitarian aid. Through 338 helicopter exits, 29,140 kilograms of medicines were delivered to the affected areas.

In addition, 9,290 individuals, including patients, were safely evacuated to Peshawar and other places.

Saif added that the development work in the area is now progressing rapidly and that RS100 million have been approved for the repair of the high road and Parachinar.
