A high -level diplomatic delegation from Pakistan will visit the key global capitals, including London, Brussels, Paris, the United States and Russia, to counteract Indian propaganda and highlight Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace, the Minister of Climate, Dr. Musadik Malik, on Tuesday.
Talk about PakGazette News’ “PakGazette Pakistan” program, Dr. Malik said the Government responded quickly and responsible during the recent conflict, fulfilling the task that the public and Parliament entrusted.
He pointed out that the government acted without delay, closely coordinating with defense institutions and forming a diplomatic team to represent Pakistan’s position abroad.
Malik explained that those chosen to represent the country included not only members of the Pakistan-Nawaz Muslim League (PML-N), but also individuals of the Popular Party of Pakistan (PPP) and others with past experience as ministers of foreigners and ambassadors.
He said that the government had formed a small but highly effective team from six to seven people, unlike the largest delegation in India, to commit to the main global powers.
Dr. Malik said the delegation is expected to visit the key capitals, including London, Brussels, Paris and the United States, with an additional mission of a single member that will probably be sent to Russia. He added that the Vice Prime Minister of Pakistan, Ishaq Dar, continues to interact with regional counterparts, especially in the Middle East.
Countries such as Türkiye, China and Azerbaijan remain in close and regular contact with Pakistan, and those bilateral commitments would continue, although the immediate approach would be in Europe and the United States.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s office last week, Prime Minister Shehbaz decided to send a diplomatic delegation to the key global capitals to present the Pakistan’s position and boost peace, and expose Indian propaganda internationally.
The prime minister has assigned the task to the president of the PPP, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, designating him as head of the delegation.
The delegation will include federal ministers Dr. Malik, Khurram Dastgir Khan, Sherry Rehman and former Minister of State Hina Rabbani Khar, according to the official statement.
The statement also indicated that Senator Faisal Sabzwari, former Ministry of Foreign Affairs Tehmina Janjua and the former ambassador to the United States and EU Jalil Abbas Jilani will also be part of the delegation.
The team is scheduled to visit Key Capitals, including London, Washington, Paris and Brussels.
“The delegation will highlight the efforts of Pakistan for regional peace while exposing the propaganda of India and tries to destabilize peace in the region,” he added.
