After yesterday’s SPINNERS, today we had rolling, although it was not the kind that comes with moving on a surface but rather it was the kind that goes with ROCKING.
There are hundreds of rock genres, from Acid Rock to Yacht Rock, but Strands took it easy and went for the A-listers, although I went for Prog before seeing the PROGRESSIVE feature film.
I used to have a friend whose brother was very interested in progressive rock and as kids we marveled at his album collection and the gatefold covers, which invariably included pyramids and some form of nudity. We were trying to make sense of the music, with its 12-minute-long jams and songs about mice named Gerald, but mainly we looked at the album covers. Who doesn’t love a pyramid?
How was today? Send me an email and let me know.
