The Spanish film is directed by Carlos Sedes and written by the team that brought us the Netflix dramatic series The case of Asunta. That series follows a couple who reported their missing daughter, which unravels the truth about a seemingly perfect family.

What is the plot of a widow’s game?
Set in 2017, a man’s body is in a parking lot. It has been stabbed seven times and the authorities believe that all signs point to a crime of passion. With a veteran inspector who leads the crime, he has soon led a suspect that nobody expected: Maje, the young widow who had been married to the victim for less than a year.
