The WNBA is investigating the accusations that there were “hate comments” aimed at Angel Reese during the confrontation of Chicago sky against Caitlin Clark and Indiana’s fever.
Saturday’s confrontation was the 2025 debut for organizations and the second season for both players, whose rivalry began during the National University Championship of 2023.
Clark was beaten with a flagrant foul against Reese, and Reese had to be arrested from Clark by others.

The details of the alleged incident have not yet been revealed.
Sky’s chief coach Tyler Marsh admitted that he learned about the alleged speech “when everyone else”, but reflected the league for investigating the matter.
“Obviously, there is no place in this league for that,” Reese said Tuesday. “I think the WNBA, our team, our organization has done a great job supporting me. I have had communication of all, of so many people in this league … going through this process, it could happen to me. I could happen to anyone. I think they have done a great job by supporting us on this in this.”
“It is obviously difficult. But I think I have a great support system. I am loved by so many people and obviously, at the time, it is difficult to listen. But my support system is great. God has protected me in many ways,” he added. “I have gone through many different things in recent years in my life, but I think I just have support and this love, and be part of an organization that really supports me and loves me, is something I could not imagine not being part.”

Dave Portnoy calls Angel reese a ‘Jacka–‘ by ‘jealousy’ of Caitlin Clark in response to the ESPN analyst
“They understand that this is priority. Obviously, there is no place for this. I think two days before they do not ‘without hatred without speech’. Obviously, women in this league, know that, and know that there is no space in that. A.”
Clark also said that “he appreciates[d]”The League to conduct an investigation.
“There is no place for that in our game,” Clark told reporters, through Indy Star. “There is no place for that in society. We certainly want each person to enter our sand, be it a player, be it a fan, to have a great experience.
“I appreciate that the League does that. The fever organization has been at the forefront of that, since, in reality, the first day, what they are doing. Hopefully the investigation, we will leave them to find something and take the right action if so.”
