A lawsuit filed by a Utah woman accused the soccer player Byu Jake Retzlaff of sexual assault at her home in November 2023, Salt Lake Tribune reported.
The woman, included in the presentation as Jane Doe AG, says she informed her accusations to the police.
The accuser said she and Retzlaff initially contacted through social networks.

Retzlaff is being sued for alleged battery, assault and intentional inflicence of emotional anguish. According to the lawsuit, the woman seeks punitive damage of the BYU field marshal.

Until Wednesday, Retzlaff does not face criminal charges. Mark Baute, a retzlaff lawyer, issued a statement by saying that Byu’s field is “factically innocent.”

Baute also described his client as a “pleasant young man.”
Retzlaff moved from California to Utah in 2023 when he was transferred to Byu. He led the Couchars to a record of 11-2 last season.
He is the first known Jewish fighter marshal of Byu. The university is operated by the Church of Jesus Christ of the last days.
