Dell has introduced a new platform that allows customers to create private clouds using VMware, Natanix or Red Hat batteries, but instead of being a single private cloud, it acts as a unified system to manage multiple cloud batteries in Dell Hardware.
Centralized management allows customers to deal with various implementations, and although different private clouds cannot share a single node, they can coexist in a shared fleet of servers and storage.
The company said that customers who implement private clouds using their Automation Platform Dell could now be subject to 90% less steps, marking considerable efficiency improvements.
Dell presents a unified private cloud platform
The DELL Automation platform is described as a “software platform designed to simplify how customers implement and operate broken down solutions with safe and tactile information and centralized administration.”
Dell states that new environments can be configured in only 2.5 hours, with the company that supports both the license to bring its own license and its own licenses.
To begin with, only VMware VSPHER (No Cloud Foundation) will be compatible with, but it is said that more templates will arrive later this year.
The company said in an announcement: “Organizations can protect their investment with reusable infrastructure, simplify operations with the management of full life cycle and support the client’s choice with a catalog of validated plans.”
Referring to the first Fresh Nature Nature farms, Dell cited his vice president of IT and security, Keith Bradley: “Flexibility for the transition between cloud ecosystems and the ability to reuse hardware is a change of game for us by providing investment protection and allow us to respond to commercial needs evolved quickly.”
“Our disaggregated infrastructure approach helps customers to build safe and efficient modern data centers that convert the data into intelligence and complexity into clarity,” said Dell infrastructure solutions group Arthur Lewis.
