Dawn Staley defends Clark-Ree’s rivalry after a heated fault incident

The rivalry between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese has caused more discussions worldwide and beyond.

The temperature explodes Between Reese and Clark after the fever guard committed a flagrant foul in the sky forward.

It was one of the greatest moments of Indiana’s 93-58 victory on Saturday.

Both players minimized the incident. Clark told Holly Rowe of ESPN after the third quarter that there was not “nothing malicious” behind the fault.

After the game, Reese described the foul as a “basketball game.”

“The referees did well. He moved on,” Reese told reporters.

The three times winning coach of the National Championship, Dawn Staley, intervened in the rivalry between the two stars of the WNBA.

“I think it’s great for our game,” Staley said. “It’s a sport. Treat us as a sport … it happens in each sport: football, basketball, football … so let it be.”

Staley added that she believed that game officials made the correct call.

“I’m going to take Angel and Caitlin’s front, and that advantage is that they said it was a foul. The officials did well and we are moving forward.” Staley said.

“I think it attracts people.”

“I think there are new fans who have not seen our game. I just hope they open their eyes to the rest of the talent that is there. The product is incredible and has a great demand. We play Caitlin in the National Championship last year … Twenty million (spectators), whatever it over.”

Staley also expressed his emotion for future classes from Clark-Ree.

“I’m looking forward to the next time they play,” Staley said. “I’m going to be stuck like everyone else. I am a fan.”
