Originally announced in November 2024, model 122.88TB of the SSD D5-P5336 of Soldigm has officially returned to sale.
If you have ever wondered how much of these giant capacity SSD could delay it, the answer is: perhaps not as much as expected, since although early estimates placed its price about $ 14,000, but in reality you can collect the impulse of Tech-America for a $ 12,399 much more affordable.
Obviously, this is not a unit for your typical PC equipment: it uses a PCIE 4.0 interface and comes in the U.2 form factors (available now) and E1.L (expected at the end of this year). It is aimed at business storage environments that handle work loads, automatic learning and data data.
More durable qlc
The unit is built with Nand QLC of 192 layers. With the resistance with a rating of 0.60 Drive writes per day and a total of 134.3 Petabytes written for five years, the 122.88TB model is designed to last more than the previous QLC offers.

SOLDIGM markets its great SSD as a solution to space and power limitations in data centers, claiming that replacing traditional hybrid systems with its All-QLC units could reduce the use of the frame from nine to one and reduce energy consumption by about 90 percent.
The unit joins other high capacity SSDs announced in 2024, including Phison, Samsung and Western Digital models. The Phison SSD admits PCIE GEN5 and offers a faster maximum performance, although the D5-P5336 offers a greater resistance rating and a higher storage density.
