According to Gartner Research, the AI application development platform market could be worth $ 5.2 billion, a figure that is only expected to increase.
Engineers are tired of integrating into applications
The vice president of Gartner, the analyst Jim Scheibmeir said: “Even with the business leaders who focus more on this technology and, despite the growing advertising, the execution is not easy.”
On the other hand, artificial intelligence is beginning to be more useful in the application development process, with AI agents that allow developers to focus on complex and creative elements instead of having to handle repetitive work loads.
AI is also democratizing the development of applications, which Gartner sees as something positive. Traditionally, the industry has been dominated by those competent in Stem fields, however, team members with an approach to design, psychology and arts can offer new perspectives and approaches.
By 2028, 40% of the members of the software team could come from “non -traditional software engineering or technical history”, or duplicate the number we see today, and that is thanks to the advances in generative AI.
However, AI looks better as a human aid and not a replacement, therefore, the hiring of strong fundamental skills such as the construction of logic and the development of algorithms remains essential.
“The future will be dominated by composite or fusion products teams consisting of software engineers, UX designers, product managers and even data scientists from technical and non -technical educational history,” added Gartner’s main analyst Nitist Tyagi.
