The audio has been released when Gregg Popovich allegedly suffered a medical emergency in a San Antonio restaurant last month.

The now chief coach of San Antonio Spurs was having dinner in an grill when, according to the reports, he passed out. Popovich then left in an ambulance.

The person called said Popovich “did not respond” to the beginning. He updated the office that Popovich barely responded “and had fainted a bit,” according to TMZ.

According to reports, Popovich did not suffer injuries or diseases that threaten life, and was alert when he entered the ambulance.

The 76-year-old man had already been recovering from a stroke that led him to miss all but the first six games of the 2024-25 season.

Shortly after the reported medical scare, Popovich resigned as chief coach.

“While my love and passion for the game remain, I have decided that it is time to get away as a chief coach,” Popovich said in a statement earlier this month. “I am always grateful to the wonderful players, coaches, personal and fans who allowed me to serve as a coach of the Spurs and I am excited about the opportunity to continue supporting the organization, the community and the city that are very significant for me.”
