AMD is ditching the Radeon RX 7900 GRE from its current-gen GPU lineup, if the new grapevine gossip is to be believed.
According to a report by Dutch technology site Tweakers, the RX 7900 GRE is now at the end of its life and AMD is stopping production of this graphics card.
Tweakers explains that it received notice from a retailer that this was the case, and that establishment had heard from several suppliers that the 7900 GRE was indeed out of the mix.

The site clarifies that AMD will continue to support the card with its software (driver updates), as would clearly be expected.
Tweakers further notes that AMD did not respond to requests to confirm that the RX 7900 GRE had been discontinued, but that’s not surprising – we wouldn’t expect the Red Team to do so.
The report also notes that stocks (presumably in the Netherlands) are dwindling, and the lack of availability supports the idea that this RDNA 3 GPU, which was first introduced as an Asia-only model, before launching nationwide worldwide, is about to disappear. .
