Islamabad:
The Secretary of Central Information of Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI), Sheikh Waqas Akram, dismissed on Wednesday the ongoing negotiation reports with the government, saying that the dialogue “does not work that way.”
When heading to a press conference, the party secretary of the party clarified that the founding president of PTI, Imran Khan, has denied having initiated conversations.
“You can’t conduct hate daggers to someone’s chest and still wait for good will in return,” he added.
In addition, he clarified that the negotiation committee had been constituted by Imran himself and that his participation was in his direction. “No one can say that we did not sit with them, we did it alone about the founder’s instructions.”
Criticizing the “manipulated” political landscape formed by the surveys of February 9, Akram said that the “government of form 47” must stop its “campaign of cruelty and repression” against political opponents.
Taking a mockery in the Judiciary in the midst of PTI’s legal problems, he claimed that verdicts could now be predicted based on the Bank’s composition.
“Our lawyers already inform us what the ruling will be, the system is naked,” he said.
Promising to resist until the end, he said that the PTI will fight “to the last ball.” “The world is looking. We will not give up. We will not admit defeat.”
Waqas also demanded the repeal of the 26th constitutional amendment, qualifying it as harmful to the country. “It has caused irreparable damage, everything is being dismantled.”
When commenting on the case of Al-Qadir trust, he reiterated that no financial benefit had accumulated for the founder of PTI or his spouse, Bushra Bibi. “The whole world knows that it is not corrupt. Pakistan has become a joke.”
“You are not even allowed to talk to your children or meet your sisters. Books are not being allowed. This government is obsessed with their presence,” said the PTI leader, calling him a “paranoia regime.”
He claimed that Punjab police were blocking political leaders to meet Imran and that surveillance cameras had been installed, “observing each movement.”
“We are demanding the rule of law and constitutional supremacy. This path of tyranny must end.”
It also based all speculation of a rear door arrangement. “The founder of PTI does not want an agreement. He said ten months ago that he would prefer to spend his life in jail than to enter a commitment.”
“He has not leaned and will not bow. Even Rana Sanaullah admitted it publicly.”
Citing an example, he said that a young man named Ali race, imprisoned in the Kot Lakhppp prison for two years, had recently received the bond for the Supreme Court. “His sick grandmother repeatedly told court that his grandson was innocent.”
“The person who was accused of hurting was not even on the wounded list,” he said. “This child spent two years after bars for no reason.”
He said that the legal team would soon present detailed information about all those unjustly imprisoned people. “The Supreme Court must ensure that its judgments are implemented.”
