Pakistan will never accept Indian hegemony, says Campo Munir Marshal

Islamabad:

The head of the Army staff (COAS) field, also Munir, has reaffirmed Pakistan’s position on regional sovereignty, saying that Pakistan will never accept the hegemony of India.

This resolution reiteration occurred days after Pakistan inflicted a blow to India in a military confrontation between the two countries that was caused by the reckless and provocative attacks of New Delhi missile attacks on civil infrastructure within Pakistan.

Speaking during a special scope session with the vice channels, directors and members of the faculty of several universities, the Munir Field Marshal emphasized the crucial role of educators in the configuration of the country’s future generations.

However, the focus of its wide direction remained the unwavering position of Pakistan in India Jammu and Kashmir (Iiojk) and the broader regional concerns, particularly with India.

“Pakistan will never accept India hegemony,” said the head of the Army, drawing a firm line on issues ranging from water rights to the Kashmir dispute. “Water is the red line of Pakistan, and we will not allow any commitment in this basic right of 240 million Pakistani,” he added.

India has announced “Holding in Abeyance” the Treaty of the Water of the Indo (IWT), an agreement negotiated by the World Bank between Islamabad and New Delhi in 1960 to share the water available in the Indo River and its tributaries.

According to the agreement, Pakistan received the right in three rivers, namely Indo, Jhelum and Chenab, while India was granted the right to the Ravi, Beas and Sutlej rivers.

Pakistan, which depends largely on the waters of three rivers assigned to him under IWT, has declared that any movement to stop or divert its share of water will be considered “an act of war” and that it will use the complete spectrum of the national power to protect its participation in the water.
