A Rangers officer, Lance Naik Muhammad Tanveer, succumbed to injuries sustained during the violent protests in Islamabad on November 25 and 26, Express News reported. The 37-year-old man, a resident of Narowal, was in a coma after the riots.

Tanveer served in Pakistan Rangers Punjab for 17 years. He leaves behind his wife, two sons and three daughters. This brings the death toll among Ranger personnel to four and several more injured.

The violent protests, allegedly led by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers under the guise of demonstrations, caused significant damage to public property.

Additionally, two Punjab police officers lost their lives and approximately 119 were injured. Islamabad police reported that 11 officers were seriously injured during the clashes.

Images circulating online show PTI workers setting fires and engaging in vandalism. Authorities have promised strict legal action against those involved.
