Karachi residents experienced low intensity earthquakes until Sunday night until Monday morning with at least four tremors reported throughout the city. Ameer Haider Laghari, head of the National Warning Center of Tsunami Karachi, said that Landhi’s failure line in Karachi had become active.

Laghari said that tremors can continue for one or two days, but their intensity is expected to gradually decrease.

At least at least four tremors were felt within 24 hours.
The most recent earthquake measured 3.2 on the Richter scale with the densely populated Quaidabad area of the city as its epicenter. The residents of the area had also experienced a similar 3.6 magnitude tremor at 5:33 pm yesterday.
Both earthquakes during the night originated at a shallow depth of 10 kilometers below the surface.
The third tremor was reported in areas such as Quaidabad, Malir and surrounding neighborhoods. The residents described the unusual noise of birds and animals during the night, who joined their anxiety.
