- Do not wait for important Intelligence updates at WWDC 2025
- Apple’s next key note is expected to be a “disappointment” from a perspective of AI
- The exciting projects are being prepared, according to a more important person, but it is possible to wait until 2026
WWDC 2025 is just around the corner, but those who look forward to Apple’s main ads may need to wait a little more.
According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg ($/£), a generally reliable source for Apple’s information, AI’s return “will probably not happen in this year’s WWDC.” In fact, “people within the company believe that the conference can be a disappointment from the point of view of AI.”
That is disappointing for those who expected Apple to recover from Apple’s intelligence problems in this year’s WWDC key. However, not everything is fatality and sadness, since Gurman says that we will see a mode of battery management with AI, along with Apple by opening its base developers models, which should allow a better integration of the IA.
Gurman also says that we will obtain a “silent brand change” of some existing characteristics in Safari and photos, which will now be called “AI with”.
If you believe that everything sounds quite disappointing, then I would bow to agree. However, Gurman also reports that Apple is working on some important improvements that the company could reveal on WWDC 2026, “when he hopes he can try to convince consumers that he is an innovative of AI.”
Here are Apple’s main intelligence projects in which Apple is working:
1. The Siri we have been waiting for
We have already discussed Llm Siri on numerous occasions, but although we expected to see the Siri of Apple Intelligence that was promised at WWDC 2024 this year, it seems that this long -awaited Update of Siri will not appear in the June key note.
LLM Siri would give iPhone users a voice assistant along with the best, such as Gemini Live and the advanced chatgpt voice mode. Unfortunately, it seems that we will have to wait for more than expected, since it is unlikely to be included in iOS 19 (which will be renamed iOS 26).
2. Application of direct accesses with AI
Gurman also states that Apple is working on a “renewed version of its direct access application”, which will add Apple Intelligence to the mixture to allow users to create personalized actions with AI instead of creating manually, as in the current version of the application.
He states that this project was initially planned for its launch this year, but now, due to delays, it could be taken to 2026.
3. A AI doctor
Mulberry with a code name, this idea of AI doctor is essentially the evolution of Apple’s health application.
Gurman says he is “scheduled to be launched in 2026 as part of an iOS 26 Spring update.
This idea has been rumored for a while, and makes sense considering Apple’s approach to health and physical condition with the leading laptop in the industry, Apple Watch.
4. Knowledge, a chatgpt competitor
Last but not least, it is said that Apple is working on a Chatgpt competitor that “can extract open web data, which some employees have called ‘knowledge’.”
Gurman reports that this project is being directed by Robby Walker, who was working in Siri until a few weeks ago, when a new project leader, Mike Rockwell from Vision Pro.
Apple would love to compete with the tastes of Operai and Google in the AI space, although Gurman says: “Employees familiar with work say that they are already full of some of the same problems that delayed Siri’s review.”
