A local court has granted bail to Kamran Asghar Qureshi, Archughan’s father, the main suspect in the case of murder of Mustafa Aamir, in a case of illegal weapons.
The bail application was heard by the additional district and the Judge of Sessions (South), who approved the bond against a bail of RS100,000.
During the hearing, defense lawyer Khurram Awan argued that the case had no basis and was registered only because the defendant is Armughan’s father. He affirmed that Kamran has been unfairly involved in multiple cases.
The judge commented that the defendant must be released if he does not love him in any other case.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the anti-violent crime cell had reserved Kamran Asghar Qureshi after recovering illegal weapons from his power. There have been a total of four firs against him.
Previously, an anti -terrorism court (ATC) in Karachi had extended Armughan’s physical return, the main suspect in the case of Mustafa Amir murder, for additional seven days.
The court ordered the investigation officer to submit a progress report at the next hearing. Prosecutors argued that more time was required to recover a laptop and a mobile phone, which believe they contain crucial evidence.
The Defensor Lawyer of Armughan opposed the request, claiming that the police had completed his investigation and that a new remission was unnecessary.
However, the court was put on the side of the Prosecutor’s Office and approved the extension.
During the hearing, the judge asked if the seized evidence had been properly sealed, to which the investigation officer confirmed compliance. The court also allowed Armughan’s parents to brought him with him briefly.
In addition, according to a report, Armughan had supposedly confessed the crime and explained the reasons behind Mustafa’s murder.
The report revealed that Armughan directed a call center in a Bungalow in the Khayaban-E-Momin area of the Defense Housing Housing Authority, where they worked between 30 and 40 boys and girls, along with 30 to 35 security guards parked in the facilities. The Bungalow had supposedly housed three lion puppies illegally.
An interrogation report also shed light on Armughan’s participation in the use of businesses and drugs. Before Mustafa’s murder, Arosughan, along with his friend Shiraz, planned to burn Mustafa’s car and had previously intended to damage him.
The report revealed that in 2019, Arosughan was involved in a case with respect to drug import, but assured the bond in that matter.
According to the investigation, Armughan himself was a drug user. On the eve of the New Year, Armughan organized a party at the Bungalow, where Shiraz was also present until 3 in the morning. However, Mustafa did not attend the party.
The next day, Armughan and Mustafa had a personal dispute, which became a violent confrontation.
On January 6, Arosughan invited Shiraz to Bungalow to take drugs, and Mustafa arrived around 9 pm. During this meeting, Armughan assaulted Mustafa with an iron bar.
Armughan and Shiraz took Mustafa from his clothes, tied their hands and feet with a white sheet, and dragged him down the stairs.
Mustafa’s car was parked in the Bungalow parking lot, and placed their body in the car trunk, after which they took him to Hub.
The report details more that Armughan instructed two employees to clean the blood stains of the room. Armughan also took Mustafa’s clothes, mobile phone and the Internet device.
When they could not find fuel in the car, Armughan took a bungalow fuel can.
The report explains that Armughan ruled out Mustafa’s mobile phone and other belongings on the road.
They arrived at the center around 4:30 am, poured gasoline in the car and set it on fire.
Armughan and Shiraz then walked to a hotel for breakfast. An hotel employee noticed a gun, and the two men fled from the scene.
After walking for several hours and hooking walks, they returned to Karachi.
