Today, a relatively simple thread, with many interesting words to find in the middle of the real.
Patented products are things that have been produced by a particular company instead of a generic product. Confusion often occurs when that product becomes so successful that the name of the product replaces the name of generic articles in popular speech, such as Hoover instead of the vacuum and, well, all products in the current search.
Companies behind these products are often incredibly attentive to their misuse and for enforcing their registered trademark. When I became a journalist, I realized this when I used the word Biro instead of a pen and used a tiny b. Two days later, I received a firm letter from Biro’s lawyers, requesting not to make the same mistake again.
Once, when the written word was much more edited than it is today, errors like that were uncommon and a publication or website would spend time verifying whether the hydromassage bathtub in question was an aspiring jacuzzi or jacuzzi.
Now, most of the time, the price of popularity is the loss of its capital letter and share their attention with its aspiring competitors.
