Dera Ghazi Khan:

Four terrorists belonging to the forbidden Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were killed in a clash armed with the police in the Kot Mubarak area, near the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa-Punjab border last week, security officials said Monday.

Among the dead were the senior commander of TTP Saifullah, also known as Abu Basir al-Shami, and his deputy Muhammad Anas. According to the reports, the suspects planned terrorist activities in the region when the forces of the order hired it in a specific operation, the sources added.

The security forces recovered a cache of weapons, explosive materials and significant documents of the possession of the militants, which suggests advanced preparations for subversive acts.

The TTP has also confirmed the death of its intelligence boss of the province of Punjab, Saifullah.

According to the sources, Saifullah was a resident of Ahmedpur Sharqia in Punjab and played a fundamental role in the coordination of militant operations in southern Punjab. Its presence was linked to an increase in militant attacks and the intensification of security operations in the region.

His murder is seen as a significant blow to the TTP operational network in Punjab. The operation is considered a great success in the interruption of militant activities throughout the interprovincial border region.
