- Apple wwdc 2025 starts on June 9 with a key opening note
- A new teaser suggests iOS 19 with glass infusion, among other platforms
- Rumors point to a new design in the Apple Operating System that is inspired by Vision Pro
iOS 19 (or iOS 26) could present one of the most significant redesign in recent memory, at least according to rumors. However, we now have a very strong track of the best possible source, Apple, that a new aspect is reaching its platforms and has a family visual source.
Most of the rumors surrounding an iOS 19 design update and other Apple platforms such as macos and tvos, adopting some of its visual tails from Apple Vision Pro.
Now, I know, Apple’s mixed reality headphones have not flown exactly the doors when it comes to consumer adoption. Even so, it inargably has one of the most elegant interfaces that Apple has designed. Not only is it easily controlled through the look and gesture, but the whole appearance is one of floating elements of frosted glass.
Okay, it is subtle, and you must closely observe elements such as beveled edges to see reflexes and even the interaction between different screens, which can sometimes act as emelled glass planes.
Apple, naturally, never comments on the updates and software functions previously announced, but plays Hypemaster for great events such as the next World Developer Conference (WWDC), which begins on June 9 at Apple Park in Cupertino, California.
In an X (previously Twitter) publication on Monday, Apple’s Senior Marketing Gege Joswiak vice president wrote: “#WWDC25 is next week! I can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on. We see you on June 9 at 10 am PT.”
While there is nothing remarkable in that, the five -second animation that accompanies it is revealing. It shows the Apple logo, which is then transformed into the SWIFT programming language logo, and finally, Apple Park Rainbow. In each case, the object is made of what seems to be frosted glass, an aspect that, yes, aligns with the idea of an iOS 19 infused with glass (and perhaps other platforms).

It is not an assumption exactly how far and deep the frosted glass can reach, but Apple could apply it to everything, from the control center to the widgets and even the icons of the applications. You can also alter the interaction between these elements of the interface. We could expect more reflections of surrounding icons and windows, and sometimes the ability to see through some elements.
Apple also dropped another track on its WWDC 2025 developer page, where it presents a similar Apple Apple logo and the motto “Sleek Peak”. Yes, a glassy appearance would surely be “elegant.”
These are, as I see it, some quite strong suggestions about the future design direction of iOS 19. Even so, there are great questions. Mainly, what is happening with the name convention?
According to the reports, Apple will drop the system of sequential numbers for all its platforms and, instead, will change to a year format, one that can see next year. So, for example, iOS 19 becomes iOS 26 and Ipados 19 becomes ipados 26.
These last suggestions do not shed light on the next names of the platform, but the future of the IOS Design Directorate may be entering the frosted approach.
