Chicken prices fall in Peshawar

Listen to the article

Peshawar:

The price of corral birds has fallen significantly, falling from RS460 per kilogram to RS380 in a week, a decrease of RS80 per kilogram.

Despite the strong decrease in raw prices of chicken, the cost of chicken dishes in fast food restaurants and exits remains unchanged, which causes criticisms of consumers.

As Eid-Ul-Azha approaches, the Corral Bird Market has witnessed a remarkable price drop.

However, restaurants throughout the city continue to sell chicken dishes to inflated rates, without changes since prices reached their maximum point earlier this year.

Previously, when chicken prices increased to RS500 per kilogram, restaurants and fast food operators raised the prices of popular chicken dishes.

Now that chicken rates have decreased significantly, the public is questioning why those augmented menu prices have not been reviewed.
