The United Nations and international aid organizations have lent alarm about the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Gaza, where the population of more than two million faces acute shortage of food and conditions similar to famine after months of restricted access to help.

The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, which opened its first aid distribution sites last week, has the support of the United States and operates with Israeli coordination.

However, their operations have been criticized by the UN and other humanitarian groups for ignoring traditional aid channels and working outside the internationally accepted humanitarian principles.

The Palestinian NGO network has requested a boycott of what the “Usraelí help mechanism” described in response to mortal incidents in the distribution point of GHF and its surroundings.

The relatives of one of the victims, Hussam Wafi, 37, met Monday at Nasser hospital to cry before their burial. “They were going quietly. They went to get food and water for their children, a can of hummus or FAVA beans, and shot them,” Wafi’s neighbor told Reuters, Abu Youssef.
