- According to the reports, the Quest 4 goal has been delayed until 2027
- A high -end atrial goal (frailecillo) should now come next year
- There is no update on the headphones of Asus or Lenovo Horizon Os
A new leak suggests that the target ‘Quest 4 headphones have been delayed from next year until 2027, although when it arrives it could be worthwhile to wait, since it could be a device very different from Quest 3.
Fortunately, we can apparently expect a goal launch Quest Pro 2, so the new virtual reality hardware still seems to be incoming.
These leaks come through two sources: Brad Lynch and Luna, which have solid stories when it comes to virtual reality leaks. Lynch published a jocular survey saying that only one of the Deckard and target Quest 4 valves would land this year, while Luna informed having heard rumors that Quest 4 has been delayed until 2027.
According to leaks, this is due to the cancellation of two goal prototypes that were probably Quest 4: Low and high pisma (budget models and premium so that they coincide with Quest 3s and Quest 3 launches).
Instead, we could be obtaining a headset based on the frailecillo prototype that has been developing.
Puffin is scheduled to be a higher range offer, something similar to a Quest Pro 2 goal, although given the way the leaks talk about the device, it seems that it could be launched under a different name of without Quests.
This is because it has a very different design from what we are used to, that is, a couple of virtual reality glasses tied to an album, such as the Apple Vision Pro. I say ‘a kind of’ because Puffin’s album would not only be a battery, but also his processing brain, to further move away the weight of the headphones and to the user’s pocket.
Horizon should still run, but the device approach would be more for productivity and static entertainment (for example, watch VR movies) instead of what we normally expect from the Meta VR headphones.
Out of the finish line, we are still waiting to see what their Horizon OS partners are developing (Asus, Lenovo and Xbox. In the same way that multiple device manufacturers are configured to use Android XR, this trio is working on the headphones that execute the goal operating system Meta’s Quest.
We still have to listen to something about the Lenovo device, although the ASUS, Tarius headphones will supposedly be part of their Rog range, suggesting that it will be a headset focused on games with improved screens and features such as the monitoring of the eyes to be a more premium offer than existing search models.
Hopefully these headphones will be launched soon, and a debut in 2026 could be in the cards, and if the goal is not launching a Quest 4 next year, it could be a moment in star schedule so that Lenovo and Asus show their devices.
