President Asif Ali Zardari has said that the country urgently needs political stability and a broad national consensus, emphasizing that all democratic forces must work together to guarantee progress and prosperity.
During a meeting with the senior party leader, lawyer Aamir Hasan in Lahore, President Zardari said the public service must be kept higher, adding that each individual and group will have to play their role to solve public problems.
The president urged young people to step forward for the country’s progress. He asked for a uniform strategy to make Pakistan economically vibrant.
Zardari ordered the leaders of the PPP to work hard for the reorganization of the party.
Barrimer Aamir Hasan proposed that competent and ideological workers be designated in PPP key organization positions.
Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari also held a meeting with the member of the Central Executive Committee of PPP (CEC) Chaudhry Manzoor Ahmed.
They discussed the problems of government workers and employees, and exchanged opinions on the increase in the minimum wage by 50 percent in the next budget.
Chaudhry Manzoor proposed that the minimum salary increase at RS50,000 and EOBI pensions by 100 percent.
Zardari expressed the hope that the government considers the well -being of workers and workers as a priority in the budget.
He said that society cannot progress without relieving workers.
