Nurses under probe to search eid bonus

Islamabad:

After the decision to grant an additional basic salary to the employees of the Capital Development Authority from grade 1 to 16 on the occasion of Eidul Azha, the president of the CDA has also approved a similar honorary of a basic salary for all Muslim officers in grade 17 and higher.

The decision will also apply to contract and daily salary employees, and an official notification has been issued in this regard. In addition, the members of the CDA Board, who are in the appointments of Diputación, will also be beneficiaries of the additional basic salary.

The sources reveal that the additional salary payments for all employees and CDA officials in Eidul Azha will cost the authority approximately RS365.5 million, with RS235M assigned for employees in grade 1-16 and RS30M for officials in the 17th grade and more.

It is reported that CDA has become especially lucrative for the designated officers of several departments, particularly members of the Board. More markedly, CDA officers are also assigned plots in the D-Block sector of Islamabad after six months of service, despite the fact that CDA employees are only eligible for a plot after completing at least 10 years of service.

The sources highlight that there are different eligibility standards for permanent CDA employees and those in the Diputación. This disparity makes CDA publications very desirable among the senior officials of other departments.

A superior officer of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) shared an interesting office order, revealing that more than six nurses of the Capital Hospital, which served in BS-17 to 19, visited the members of the finance of the members at the headquarters of CDA two days ago. The nurses requested that, as employees from Bs-1 to 15, they are also granted an additional basic salary as an honorary EID.

However, instead of being considered their application, nurses were accused of violating departmental discipline, and a formal departmental investigation against them was ordered. This action was taken despite the fact that, before the issuance of the investigation order, the CDA had already officially approved the honorary for all officers in the 17th and senior degree.

Given this approval, even if the disciplinary action initially had any basis, the acceptance of the application of the nurses caused the investigation to be unjustifiable and debatable.

The president of the CDA could not be contacted for its version despite the repeated attempts.
