Crypto Minister and Blockchain Bin Saqib, thanked the mayor of New York City, Eric Adams, for their efforts towards the cryptographic ecosystem at the meeting on the perspective of a collaboration between the Crypto Council of New York and Pakistan, The news reported on Saturday
SAQIB and Mayor Adams showed a symbolic show of digital unit at a meeting on Friday with a discussion held at the official residence of the EX, Gracie Mansion.
During this meeting, the minister suggested that the Crypto Council of Pakistan is willing to work with New York City to work on cryptographic regulation and innovation, since both governments increase efforts to shape the future of the web3.
He also invited New York Mayor to visit Pakistan to what Adams joked: “We consider New York is Lahore.”
New York and Pakistan have each launched each with the dedicated cryptographic tips to promote the responsible growth of the digital asset sector. The meeting marked a step towards direct collaboration between the two tips, with plans to develop the exchange of knowledge, the construction of capacity and policy advice initiatives.
The discussions also touched the shared regulatory challenges and the need for inclusive digital infrastructure in emerging and developed economies equally.
The meeting coincided with the eid greetings of Mayor Adams for Muslim communities. With more than 800,000 Muslim residents, New York City is the home of one of the largest Muslim populations in the United States. The meeting served as a cultural gesture and a wink to shared ambitions in the evolving global technological panorama.
Saqib’s visit to Gracie Mansion concluded his official US tour, which focused on blockchain innovation, public-private associations and international cryptography cooperation.
During his one -week visit to the United States, the Minister of State maintained the discussions with Senator Cynthia Lummis, co -author of the greatest cryptographic legislation in the United States, as well as senators Bill Hagerty, Rick Scott, Tim Sheehy and Jim Justice, several of whom support the designation of Bitcoin as a strategic reserve performance.
Meetings with representatives Troy Downing, Ryan Zinke, Rick McCormick and Derrick Van Order were also held, all involved in the configuration of the digital asset policy. Saqib was in the United States to participate in the Bitcoin 2025 conference, held in Las Vegas, where it presented the first strategic reserve of Bitcoin, directed by the Government.
