- Panasonic’s Let’s Note SC weighs less than one kilo, but packs a removable battery and a Lan Gigabit port
- Includes a 56WH battery sustained by screws, which lasts up to 34.6 inactive hours
- Unusual Round Tactile Panel Returns, now larger and borrowed with a 14 -inch brothers model
Panasonic has introduced the Let’s Note SC, a 12.4 -inch notebook designed for commercial users, with an focus on portability, long battery life and usability improvements.
According to Mynavi (originally informed in Japanese), the device presents a 12.4 -inch LCD screen with an appearance ratio 3: 2 and a resolution of 1920 x 1280 pixels.
The screen opens at 180 degrees without touching the surface under it, helped by a hinge design that keeps it slightly high.
It weighs less than a kilo and still has Ethernet and HDMI
The chassis has a pressure -resistant hood structure and has been tested to meet the thousand standards.
Panasonic emphasizes the durability of the notebook, including resistance to both impact and vibration.
Available in quiet gray and black, the SC works with the Core Ultra Series 2 Intel processors, whether ultra 7 255h or ultra 5 255u, depending on the configuration.
Panasonic states that the notebook weighs 919 g, although, according to the reports, a tested unit independently reached 901 g, placing the SC between the lighter laptops of its class.
The device includes a 56WH removable battery, now fastened with screws instead of the sliding block without tool used in previous models. While this improves structural integrity, it can make the maintenance of the field less convenient.
The battery performance has a rating of up to 12.7 hours of video playback and approximately 34.6 hours of inactivity time, according to Jeita 3.0 standards. In the use of the real world, there was a 50% load after more than 90 minutes of light use and a 30 -minute video call.
The keyboard retains a Japanese design but introduces a remarkable change: the Ctrl key is now at the left end, since the positions with the FN key have changed. Users can return to the previous configuration through the BIOS configuration.
The ignition button, now located behind the keyboard, is less prone to accidental presses and also functions as a digital fingerprint sensor.
The SC also includes a round touch panel, larger than in previous models and borrowed from the 14 -inch FC line. While it is not yet conventional, this circular design remains a distinctive feature of the series.
Connectivity includes a LAN Gigabit Ethernet port, a rare inclusion in modern and potentially attractive laptops for those looking for robust mobile work station.
However, the D-SUB and SD card slots have been removed, reflecting user’s trends to HDMI and improved data safety standards.
Most of the ports, including the USB type A, the dual owner 4 compatible with USB type C and HDMI, are now placed on the left side, which helps reduce cable disorder when using a mouse.
The initial price is approximately 295,000 yen (approximately $ 1,880), and general sales are expected to begin on June 20.
