- Silverstone’s FLP01 case brings the charm of the old school, complete with false units and retro lights
- Arkhive Business Limited comes with RTX 5060 ti and offers a real creative power
- Noctua cooling maintains the retro shell in silence, while modern internal parts do all heavy work
ARC has presented a curious mixture of nostalgia and modern performance with its desktop system, the “Arkhive Business Limited”, now available through PC Shop Ark.
The Japanese device is located in the FLP01 Silverstone box, designed after the classic PC-9801 of the 80s, and presents a distinctive style, including a false 5.25-inch bay cover and simulated indicator lights.
Vintage aesthetics can evoke beige memories of telephone access tones and the instructions of two, but their internal parts suggest something much more capable, perhaps even worthy of use as a video editing or work station PC, if judged only in the specifications.
Nostalgia meets modern power
The base models come in two versions of CPU: Intel’s Core Ultra 7 265 and Ryzen 7 9700x of AMD. Both models are paired with 32 GB of RAM and a SSD NVME 2TB, and cool using a noctua air cooler, a name respected for silence and efficiency instead of style.
The graphics are handled by the new GEFORCE RTX 5060 TI, whose 16 GB of VRM placed it directly in the average range performance support.
While that may not win about hardcore players, it should be more than enough for creative professionals and could make the system a viable commercial PC for those who need GPU acceleration in adobe applications or 3D work loads.
Physically, the PC measures 440 x 362 x 170 mm, a footprint that is not particularly compact for modern standards.
It comes with Windows 11 Home pre -installed and includes a Gold 850W food source of 80Plus Gold.
However, with a price of 299,800 yen (approximately $ 2,081) and that lacks a standard optical unit (unless it is added through a limited time campaign), some may question whether the retro shell justifies the cost.
PC Shop Ark is now accepting orders with complete BTO options (construction on request), allowing greater customization.
The company seems to be depositing in a combination of nostalgia and performance to attract buyers, but Arkhive Business Limited can appeal more to the heart than the boss.
