NYT Strands Today (game #463) – The answers
The responses to today’s threads, game #463, are …
- FACE MASK
- CAMOUFLAGE
- DISGUISE
- LAYER
- COVER
- FACADE
- Spangram: False front
- My qualification: Moderate
- My score: 1 track
Timely, today’s search words were very hidden and needed a clue to start. The word mask confirmed what we were looking for, so I immediately started looking for camouflage and costume.
The Spangram was not a term with which it was familiar, but it is one that I have seen in action in London. Here, there is a beautiful and old theater that I saw Gurn from Prospero to abandoned who has been in development for years to become apartments.
As is the case in many cities, the back of the building was demolished, leaving only the facade. However, on the way, something structurally most went wrong, since the facade supported was completely replaced by a new facade, copying the art deco style of the original. So, now, there is no brick of the original building, which perhaps was the plan all the time. Either way, not once but twice, a false front.
