Microsoft has announced an Xbox version on the Rog Ally hand of hand of Asus’s hand games: know Rog Xbox’s ally.
Shown at the Xbox Games 2025 showcase, this version of the Ally Rog comes in two variants. While both machines have a 7 -inch 1080P screen with an 120 Hz update rate, a white Xbox Ally version goes to 720p games, something like the valve vapor deck, and a Black Xbox Ally X console points to 900p at 1080p gaming.
Both Ally-Meet-PCs consoles use AMD Ryzen chip sets; The most powerful black machine has the Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme Chip, while Xbox’s ally uses the Ryzen Ryzen Z2 A. The latter comes with 16 GB of LPDDR5x-6400 RAM and 512GB of M.2 2280 SSD Store, while the Xbox Xbox Xbox is coming with 24 GB of LPDR5X-8000 RAM and 1TB SSD.
Unlike Rog Ally and Rog Ally X of Asus, the Xbox version has an adjusted design with contoured grips that are echoed in the form of the current Xbox wireless controller. And as expected, both Xbox show off the design of the Xbox ‘Abxy’ button and an Xbox dedicated start button.
Like the Xbox wireless controller, Xbox Alys have a lounge impulse trigger, which should feel relatives for Xbox Series X and Series S players and give portable machines some of the best triggers of analog games controller (at least in my humble opinion).

In terms of ports, the Xbox ally has two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports that admit Displayport 2.1 and energy delivery 3.0, and uses a UHS-II microSD card reader for storage expansion.
The Xbox Ally X has one of the previous USB-C ports, but also has a USB4 type-C port with the disciport 2.1 support, delivers 3.0 and Thunderbolt 4. It also comes with a microSD card reader.
Both hand hand have a 3.5 mm headphones connector and offer Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity.
Windows 11 meets Xbox’s customization
While the ROG Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X are the attention, the current Hand PC harvest already has Xbox game support through Windows 11 and Xbox Cloud Gaming. But the experience has not always been elegant, since there is a solid argument that Windows can contain the hand games, especially compared to the steam deck.
But Microsoft has worked to optimize Windows so that it works particularly well in the Xbox Allys, with the operating system that starts in a new full -screen Xbox experience, which extracts Xbox games, as well as other showcases platforms/PC games such as Steam and The Epic Games Store.
Adjustments have been made to the Xbox application and the game bar to help them be more friendly by hand, and the latter to integrate the Arsenal Box of Asus.
All this should facilitate access to Xbox games, other PC games, clouds and applications such as discord of an easy interface.
If Xbox Alys can meet the performance of the solid hand computer, we could be looking at an impressive alternative, or in some cases a complementary console, to the steam deck.
And these Alys will need to impress since Nintendo Switch 2 is holding much of the light of portable games; Check out our Nintendo Switch 2 coverage to try how it is a bit difficult to obtain the Nintendo console. But a portable Xbox in this ally appearance is definitely worthy of stealing a brief care of the Switch 2.
At this time, we have no detail on the release date or price of Rog Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X, but we hope that the latter is in line with what the current Alys costs.
