For the first time since his clash in the field in 2020, the former NFL Golden Tate receiver gave more information about his public dispute with the current corner of the Miami Dolphins, Jalen Ramsey.
Tate made an appearance in the podcast “Bussin ‘with the Boys”, where he told the co-elans Taylor Lewan and Will Compton, former NFL players, about what led him to Ramsey and Ramsey are altered in the field in 2020.
Tate was playing for New York giants in what would be his last NFL season after 11 years, when they were scheduled to face Ramsey and the Los Angeles Rams.

For the context, Ramsey had previously left one of Tate’s twin sisters, and her relationship ended when she was pregnant with her second child.
“Now things happened within that relationship in which I do not believe that my sister has ended or treated as it should have been treated,” Tate said in the podcast. “And when that happens, who do you have to come to see? You have to come to see Big Bro.”

The dispute began to warm up when Tate responded to a fan who tweeted in October 2019 after a photo of Ramsey and her new girlfriend became public. The fan wrote: “If it were @showtimetate, he would have words with this young friend,” in reference to Ramsey.
“He knows he will have to see me,” Tate said.
Well, that meeting was in a NFL field when the giants traveled to Los Angeles to face the Rams. Tate said he and Ramsey began to come and go immediately.

“We leave, and immediately, first, he is getting too close to me, and I say: ‘Ok, that’s how we are going to do,” Tate said.
“… What I do, I can’t cost my team a penalty or cost me money, so that’s in my back pocket. I’m not going to do that because that is selfish, but I’m on your face, I’m talking about my disaster, he speaks his disaster.”
It was a low score between giants and Rams, but the latter came out victorious, 17-9. However, the voltage passed completely after the game when Tate approached Ramsey.
Ramsey swing against Tate and there was a physical altercation with both teams involved to break it.

“The game ends. I ran there to wait for him, what will happen? And he comes to look for me … I’m seeing where he. I went to him with the helmet on, and he swings, but he knew he was going to balance, so I bent down, and went to leave him, and the next thing they knew, they had everyone in us, so they separated us,” he remembered the moment of the moment.
Ramsey has talked about that fight in the past during his appearance in the podcast “The Pivot” in 2022.
“In view, we knew what we were going to do,” he said. “I want to say that is her sister, that is what she should do too. But you also care about your business. This is also me, now.”

Five years later, Tate and Ramsey never reconciled, but they leave their differences aside for children.
“We have not spoken, but I think we have both agreed not to be knuckles for the improvement of their daughters and my nieces, and that is where we are standing,” Tate said.
