Scooter Braun has just revealed why Justin Bieber took control of his career.
For those without versions, in 2008, the record executive signed the singer from his seal after seeing Bieber singing the Ne-Yo song, So sickOn YouTube.
While appearing in The diary of a CEO Podcast, the former manager of Bieber sincerely discussed the reason why his professional relationship with Bieber ended in 2023.
“They also put it at stake. They believed in a 25 -year -old,” Braun said. “We were able to achieve some incredible things and I am very proud of what we achieved and we always support it.”
Grammy winner twice became famous worldwide with his first single, Oncewhich was released in 2009.
“I think there comes a point where, I understand, you probably want to continue and show that you can do it. We work together for so long and we had such an extreme success,” Braun continued, before adding: “I think you get to a point as a man where you want to show the world, you can do it on your own. I respect it completely. I think that at this point it is doing.”
“At that time a couple of years had passed where I knew I wanted to do something else, and I wanted to know who it was,” he explained.
“I wanted to experiment, you know, a different race and we were both communicating enough with each other. Scripture was on the wall.”
Referring to his retirement from music management, Scooter Braun concluded: “I am constantly pinching and asking me:” How did I get here? “And after 23 years, this chapter as a music manager has come to an end.”
