The Golden State Valkyries, a franchise that reproduces in its inaugural season, surpassed Los Angeles Sparks in a hard extra victory in Los Angeles on Monday.
Kelsey Plum was on the court for 41 minutes and finished extra time loss 89-81 with 24 points. Despite playing most of the game, Plum finished the contest with only six free kick attempts.
At the press conference after the game, a visibly agitated plum pointed out how the referees called the game.

She suggested that the referees lost multiple misses. Plum’s anguish seemed to be more exacerbated by his statement that his tendency to go to the basket should justify more whistles in his favor.

“And I will receive a fine for saying this, but how to drive (to the basket) more than anyone in the league, so shooting six free throws is F —– G Absurd,” said the twice WNBA champion. “And I scratch in my face, I have scratches in my body and these guards in these other teams receive these fouls of studs and I am fed up that every possession thus gets dirty.”

A plum certainly “very frustrated” added that “Speech (s) to referees Nice” and says a prayer “before the game.”

The feelings of the Sparks coach, Lynne Roberts, were largely in line with the star player. “Opposite teams are allowed to defend it with excessive contact … we have to talk to the League about that, but it is not right.”
Plum then joke that he would “cover” his coach’s fine, if the league decided to broadcast one.
The loss of Monday fell the sparks record at 3-7. Plum will face its former team, Las Aces de Las Vegas, on Wednesday while the WNBA Commissioner Cup continues. Plum won two WNBA championships during his eight years with the franchise.
