The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (FO) rejected the recent comments made by the Minister of External Affairs of India, S Jaishankar in Brussels, describing them as “irresponsible” and advising India to refrain from turning deceptive narratives. The statement occurs after Jaishankar launched another verbal attack against Pakistan, calling it ‘terroristan’.
Speaking at a joint press conference in Brussels on Tuesday together with the high representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, Jaishankar, said: “I would like to understand that this is not a conflict between two states per se.”
“This is actually a response to the threat and practice of terrorism. Therefore, you urge you to do it. Do not think of India or Pakistan; think of India -Terroristan. Then you will appreciate it,” he added.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, FO condemned the rhetoric of the Indian minister and emphasized that the discourse of the main diplomats should promote peace and harmony, instead of producing “Belicing drilling lines.”
“The tone and tenor of a Foreign Minister must be consistent with his decent state,” said the spokesman, underlines the importance of maintaining the diplomatic decorum in international relations.

The spokesman also pointed out the ongoing campaign of India to deceive the international community with a manufactured victimization narrative.
“The continuous diatriba anti-Pakistan of India cannot mask its sponsorship of terrorism beyond its borders or their oppression sanctioned by the State in Indians Jammu and Kashmir, illegally occupied (Iiojk),” reads the statement.
The FO also called India for trying to divert attention from their own participation in terrorism, subversion and directed murders, urging the Indian government to reflect on their actions instead of pointing to the fingers to others.
He highlighted the evident frustration in the narrative of India, especially after his failed military operations against Pakistan last month. “The narration that emerges from India causes pure frustration, after a fallen military adventure against Pakistan,” said the statement.
