- Figma presents new AI tools for developers and designers
- Figma finally extends to all users with full seat
- The code layers reach the Figma sites
During the past week, Figma has fulfilled its many promises revealed in its Config 2025 event.
After announcing the launch of four new products: Figma Make, Figma Sites, Figma Buzz and Figma Draw, the company has now launched some new updates for developers and designers, along with the complete deployment of its great tool for content ideation of content Figma Make.
According to Figma, these updates have to do with “closing the gap between design and code” with the help of new AI tools. So what can users expect now?
What’s new in Figma?
For me, the new most exciting launch is Figma Make. Finally, Beta, is now available for those with a complete seat.
Figma Make is indeed a general design tool that covers the entire platform, and a mass jump for content ideation, where users can start with a blank canvas or copy and paste from Figma’s designs, collaborate in new ideas and then bring those designs to other Figma tools as sites to refine the concepts.
According to the company, Figma Make is totally able to help users create “an agent interface, a commercial newsletter and even games.”
When I attended an informative press session in Confect London, I was surprised how Yuhki Yamashita, Director of Products of Figma, repeatedly mentioned how the premise here is to be able to evoke ideas quickly, throw them if they do not work, then start again.
At that time, he said: “Our mental experiment was, how can we make it so easy for you to move from the idea to your head to something that you can really face users and validate very fast? And if it doesn’t work, it’s great. It can happen to the next idea, or you can keep itaring from there.”
But it is not the only great deployment that users can now try. Figma has also launched a new MCP server in the DEV mode, which is currently in Beta.
The observers of Figma with Eagle’s eyes will have registered an early demonstration of this during the key note of opening of Microsoft Build.
The company describes the MCP server as a way to deliver the design context of the variables and the styles of Figma, think about things, that kind of thing, in its preferred coding tool of LLM, IDE or agent, making sure that the code generated by IA is aligned with the user code base.
And finally, the code layers are now being implemented at the Figma sites, the website builder with AI with AI motor. Here, users with almost any technical capacity can customize the websites and create interactions and animations of the site using indications of AI, prejustments or RAW code.
It impressed me a lot when I saw Figma sites in action in the configuration, where IA indications were used to transform the static text into animated text that reacted to the cursor movements. It is designed in such a way that even a non -designer can easily edit content.
In the configuration, Yamashita promised that the greatest things were underway, saying: “We wanted to make sure we could support the cases of scaled use too. With this type of content, it is much easier if we have a CMS, so that a non -designer can enter and comfortably edit that content in a way that is familiar with them. And this is something that comes soon.” It seems that it has finally arrived.
