Rory Mcilroy had a forgotten opening round in the US Open. The current Masters champion ended on Thursday in Oakmont in 4 above.
While the disappointing day was somewhat out of the ordinary for the professional golfer, his pattern to dodge media members continued. The Irish of the North has not spoken with the media gathered since the coveted green jacket was put in April in Augusta.

“I would like to start this press conference with a question,” Mcilroy said in Augusta National. “What are we going to talk about next year?”
But after not talking to journalists in the PGA championship last month, Mcilroy chose not to offer comments to the media after the first round in Oakmont. On the other hand, journalists and spectators overlooked and entered the Oakmont Club House.

The golfers are not contractually obliged to speak with the media. Other major American professional sports leagues such as the NFL and the NBA require that their players talk to the press.

Mcilroy finished the opening blows of Ronda Ocho behind JJ Spaun, who occupied the first place in the classification.
Once the US Open ends this weekend, Mcilroy is expected to compete in the Ryder Cup. Since he won in Augusta, Mcilroy has ended up tied in the 12th in the Classic of Zurich and tied in the seventh place in the real one. His performance in the PGA championship also produced a disappointing end.
