- Ipados 26 carries the application of the newspaper to iPad
- Journal, previously exclusive for iPhone, offers users a dedicated place for memories and notes
- The iPad version adds Apple Pencil support, as well as a map to add places to tickets.
Apple is taking the application of the newspaper to iPad with Ipados 26 after two years of exclusivity of iPhone.
The application of the magazine, which already previously comes in all the best iPhones, will become one of the predetermined iPad applications with the next version of Ipados 26.
Journal for iPad follows the same format as its iPhone counterpart: it is a place to store memories, write down notes, add photos and, on iPad specifically, write and draw with Apple Pencil.
The Official Apple press release that describes the new functions in Ipados 26 indicates that the application allows users to create multiple magazines “for different aspects of life.”
The application also contains a map section, presumably to find and PIN locations in the newspaper inputs.
As the press release points out, the magazine application allows users to incorporate “photos, videos, audio recordings, places, mental state and more” in each entry.
Apple has not confirmed this, but given the company’s history, we would expect the newspaper’s tickets to synchronize between iPhone and iPad on ICloud, although we are not sure how Apple Pencil functions will translate between the two platforms.
A perfect adjustment
If you ask me, a version of the newspaper application for iPad is late. It is a reflexive application that brings together several aspects of the day and life of one, and the large portable canvas provided by iPad is a natural pairing.
Take a rapid displacement on the most technical sides of YouTube and find dozens of videos that demonstrate iPad settings that focus on notes, minimalism and full attention.
The newspaper application offers users a bit of officially compatible software at no additional cost to begin or integrate into its use of iPad.
Personally, I can see myself returning to my iPad Pro 2020 for the application of the magazine: I recently wrote that my 11 -inch model has been found mainly relegated to the role of the YouTube machine, but it would be a perfect size device to take my trips as a daily basis.
And with the application of the magazine apparently a notes and a specialized file browser, I would suggest that it will not occupy too much processing power, which means that it could be a great addition to the IPAD models even older or less powerful.
We still do not have a complete list of Ipados 26 compatible devices, but we hope that the application of the magazine will reach all the best iPads. Let us know if I would use the new magazine application in the comments below.
