Cade Smith was only centimeters from one of the most terrifying moments that could occur in a baseball diamond.
The relief pitcher of the Cleveland Guardians was at the end of the bottom of the fifth part of a 2-2 game in Seattle against the sailors when Rowdy Tellez arrived at Bat.
Smith’s 88 mph break ball caught the lower half of the Strike area, and Tellez, one of the toughest hitters in the game, hit one.

Tellez crushed a line impulse that returned directly to where he had come, leaving the bat to a scorch of 106.6 mph.
With an essentially zero time to react, the ball hit the edge of the Smith’s cap, with the correct escaping by little of a serious injury.
With the cap breaking the speed of Telllez’s blow, he arrived at the garden, and it was enough for him to reach the second with a double.
However, Smith did not flinch, as he struck out the next batter to finish the entrance.
