New York freedom is no longer undefeated, and can blame Caitlin Clark.
Clark illuminated the score on his return from an injury, and Indiana’s fever beat the WNBA champions, 102-88.
The Liberty, who entered the game with 9-0, led by up to 11 as 11 in the first quarter, but then Caitlin Clark happened. Clark lost five games after Hirir his quad against this same team of Liberty three weeks ago, but he barely seemed oxidized.

Clark demolished six of his first nine triples and fell 25 points in the first half, the maximum he has had in any half in his career. Clark could not continue with his hot shooting in the first half in the second. He scored seven points in the third quarter and felt without score in the room, making only one of his five triples in the second half.
But Lexie Hull, Damiris Dantas, Sydney Colson and Sophie Cunningham combined to tear down seven of 11 triples (Sophie Cunningham was 3 of 10 from the depths). The fever drained 17 triples, a franchise record, and Clark’s seven tied a race in their career.
