JJ Spaun has advanced in the difficult conditions of the course, the terrible climate and heat of the competition to win the Open of US 2025 at the Oakmont Country Club on Sunday.

Spaun, who became a professional in 2012 and has only a victory of PGA Tour to his credit, has captured his first major of his career in a course that consumed some of the biggest stars of the game.

He also did it dramatically, since Spaun closed the door with a Birdie in 18, a long and 64 -feet sinuous putt to ensure victory. It was the longest putt made by anyone in the field in four rounds.

Spaun shot 66-72-69-72 to finish his week as the only player under the pair in Oakmont.

This is a development story. More to come.
