Karachi:

A solidarity camp was held at the Karachi Press Club in support of the global march to Gaza, attracting the participation of political and religious leaders, members of civil society, human rights activists and students.

Organized jointly by the Palestine Pakistan Foundation, the Federal University of Urdu and the KAP expert group, the camp aimed to express its support for international land convoy to Gaza.

The convoy, who began in Algeria and arrived in Egypt after crossing several countries, has been blocked at Rafah’s crossing by the Egyptian authorities, who, according to the reports, used the force against peace activists.

Camp speakers criticized the Egyptian government hard for obstructing humanitarian aid and maintaining Gaza’s convoy, and kept the United States complicit in the blockade.

They also condemned Israel’s recent attacks against Iran, calling them acts of state terrorism.

The participants accused Israel of committing genocide in Gaza by blocking food and helping it while bombing civilians, and condemned the international community and Muslim leaders for their silence and inaction.

The speakers demanded an immediate compensation of the diplomatic ties with Israel by the Muslim states and asked the Pakistan government to adopt a firmer position in support of Palestine and Iran.
