Dijkot:
Two alleged thieves who tried a night robbery in a mobile phone store at the Bhaiwala stop in the 202RB area in Millat’s city were caught and tortured by local residents before being delivered to the police.
The suspects entered the store with the intention of theft and tried to celebrate the merchant as a hostage. However, citizens outside the facilities noticed suspicious activities and lent alarm. The noise attracted a multitude of locals that surrounded and dominated the thieves, subjecting them to a violent beating.
Despite having been informed, Millat Town police supposedly arrived late to the scene. Meanwhile, the force of the Dolphin reached the location and rescued the alleged thieves of the mafia, ensuring its safe transfer to the police station.
Police officers confirmed that an investigation and interrogation of the arrested thieves were underway.
A few days before, the thieves had addressed another mobile phone store and two pharmacies in the same area, which generated concerns about the increase in street crimes.
Meanwhile, the women’s police arrested two men for allegedly harassing a woman and threatening her after she refused to become friends with them.
According to the officials, the Sho Madiha Irshad Women Police Station received a complaint from a citizen that Ammar and Tariq pressed his daughter to make them friends with them. Given her rejection, the suspects supposedly threatened her.
The sho and his team made a raid and arrested the suspects who were transferred to the police block for more legal procedures. When commenting on the case, Faisalabad CPO Sahibzada Bilal Umar said that the protection of women and children remained the top priority of the police.
Liberated inmates
The additional judge of the district and the Muhammad IQbal Harl sessions and the civil judge and the judicial magistrate Sheikh Abdul Razzaq made an inspection visit to the central prison, where they ordered the release of 10 inmates involved in minor crimes in personal bond ties.
