Islamabad:
The NDMA has issued a weather notice based on the impact, warning of a severe heat wave that probably affects South Punjab, Sindh, Eastern Baluchistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa from June 18 to 22.
The weather notice issued by the National Emergency Operations Center of NDMA (NEOC) urged the general public to take precautionary measures to stay safe during the heat wave.
These include avoiding unnecessary outdoor exposure, especially between 11 am and 4 pm to remain hydrated drinking a lot of water, even if it does not feel thirst; Wear light and adjusted clothes; and wear hats or umbrella when they are outdoors.
